Privacy statement
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This statement covers the website belvoy.nl, including the demo conversation you can start on the website. It does not otherwise cover the Belvoy app.
Who we are
The website is run by Belvoy, based in the Netherlands. Send questions about privacy to hello@belvoy.nl.
No cookies, no tracking
- No cookies, not even functional ones.
- No statistics, analytics or other tracking.
- No database: what you send through the contact form is not stored on the website.
- No third-party services in the page: fonts and images are served by belvoy.nl itself. The exceptions are Cloudflare's spam check on the contact form, when it is switched on, and the demo conversation, only when you start it yourself (see below).
That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner here.
Hosting
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. To deliver a page to you and to keep attacks out, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address and browser type. We keep no visitor logs ourselves and do not use this data to track visitors.
The contact form
The form asks for your name, your email address, what kind of party you are (a business, a developer or something else) and your message, and, if you like, your company name and phone number. We use these details only to reply to you and, if you ask for access, to arrange the pilot with you.
The form stores nothing in a database. Your message is sent as an email to hello@belvoy.nl, with your email address as the reply-to address. We send it with Resend (Resend, Inc., a US company; we send through Resend's EU region), and the website itself runs on Cloudflare. Both process your details only on our behalf. The mail then passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox. To prevent abuse, Cloudflare briefly counts how many messages come from one IP address; that count is not kept.
Spam check. If we get a lot of spam, we switch on Cloudflare Turnstile on the form. You then see a small Cloudflare check above the send button. Turnstile loads from challenges.cloudflare.com and looks at technical data such as your IP address and browser to tell people from bots. Cloudflare says it uses this data only for that, not for advertising or tracking. Even then belvoy.nl itself sets no cookies; if you have to complete a check, Cloudflare may briefly store a technically necessary value of its own within that check to remember that you passed.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages, or the steps before a contract when you ask for access. We keep your message in our mailbox for as long as we need it to deal with your question and to record what we agreed, and delete it after that.
The demo conversation (Talk to Belvoy)
On the home page, the Talk to Belvoy button lets you talk to Belvoy's demo assistant. It is an AI, not a person. Only when you click Start conversation in the consent step does the page load the voice widget of the Belvoy app (app.dev.belvoy.nl) and does your browser ask for your microphone. Nothing is sent to the app before that click.
- What we process: the recording of the conversation (your voice and the assistant's), the transcript, and technical data such as your IP address, your browser, the time and the duration. Afterwards the app writes a short summary and notes the topic of your question, how interested you seemed and, if you mentioned it, your sector. We don't ask for names or contact details; if you mention them anyway, personal data is masked in the transcript, but it remains in the recording.
- What for: to hold the conversation, to see what visitors ask and to improve the demo. Not for advertising and not to track you.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the Start conversation button. You can end the conversation at any moment.
- Retention: the recording and the transcript are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. A conversation lasts at most 3 minutes.
- Who processes it: the Belvoy app runs on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt (region eu-central-1), where the recording and the transcript are stored. The speech recognition, the language model and the assistant's voice come from ElevenLabs (ElevenLabs, Inc., a US company), which also processes the conversation for that and may use a language model from one of its own sub-processors. Data may be processed outside the EU for this, under the safeguards in ElevenLabs' data processing agreement (the EU standard contractual clauses). ElevenLabs, too, keeps conversations no longer than 30 days. Both process your data only on our behalf.
- Withdrawing and deleting: if you want us to delete your conversation sooner, or to withdraw your consent, email hello@belvoy.nl with the date and time of the conversation, and we'll find it and delete it.
The widget sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. If you don't start a conversation, the page loads nothing from the app.
When you email us
If you email hello@belvoy.nl directly, we use your email address, your name and what you write in the same way and on the same legal basis. That mail, too, passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox.
Your rights
You can ask us which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to its use, have its use restricted, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@belvoy.nl for any of these. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If what this website processes changes, we update this statement and the date at the top.
